GreenLight Offers Custom Solutions for
Commercial Lighting Retrofits
There are many different reasons for retrofitting your existing lighting, but the main drivers are lowering energy costs, lowering maintenance costs, and better lighting within the working environment. We have proven solutions for all three, and strive to combine all three in our projects. A commercial lighting retrofit in your facility can often save you 50-80% on your electricity consumption. The technologies we use, including Fluorescent, LED, Induction, and Controls have much lower maintenance costs and provide better lighting.
GreenLight offers a complete line of services. We manage all our lighting projects from the initial customer meeting until project completion, including facility audits, customized design, rebate and EPAct administration, in-house labor contracting, recycling and disposal, and both material and labor warranties. We have experience with office, medical, retail, industrial and parking garage facilities and have many company references for your review. Let us help you with your next lighting project.
Technology
Fluorescent Lighting
Fluorescent lighting systems offer high efficacy, long life, and good light quality, and they generally have few operational limitations for most indoor lighting applications. They are the best choice for general, cost effective lighting in commercial, institutional, and industrial spaces with 10′ to 35′ ceiling height. In addition, the introduction of high-intensity fluorescent lamps and fixtures makes fluorescent systems a leading choice for areas with high ceilings – the type of application that used to be the exclusive domain of HID light sources. A successful upgrade using fluorescent lamps requires careful consideration of options for lamps (diameter, length, intensity, and phosphor blend) and ballasts (electronic versus magnetic, rapid-start or programmed rapid-start versus instant-start).

LED Lighting
GreenLight qualified commercial LED lighting offers an unprecedented opportunity to save energy, maintenance and cooling costs and is a natural fit for cutting-edge renovation, new construction projects, or easy retrofits. Qualified commercial products use at least 75% less energy and last 35 times longer than incandescent lighting. Plus, qualified LED lighting produces virtually no heat and provides optimal light color for any environment from parking lots to high-end show rooms.

Induction Lighting
Induction Lighting products are maintenance-free for at least 15 years and offers unmatched advantages over other lighting systems. The list of features of induction fixtures outdoor and indoor is so impressive that induction lighting is emerging as one of the best technologies for specific lighting application. The 100,000 hour rated life, induction lighting fixtures may never need replacing. Induction Lighting is even more attractive and useful in applications where lamp replacement is very difficult and expensive, as in many outdoor applications, hard-to-reach installations such as retail and industrial plants with 80 feet ceilings, hazardous applications like refineries, tunnels, mines, airports, and others.

Lighting Controls
Lighting controls can be used to automatically turn lights on and off as needed, preventing energy waste. The most common types of lighting controls include dimmers, motion sensors, photosensors, and timers.
Dimmers work on several lamp technologies. When you dim lamps, it reduces their wattage and output, which helps save energy.
Motion sensors automatically turn lights on when motion is detected and turn them off a short while later.
Photosensors prevent lights from operating during daylight hours.
Timers can be used to turn on lights at specific times.
Other Recommended Technology Offerings

A Lighting retrofit is the most effective way to reduce energy consumption and the ideal starting point for any facility wide efficiency program. When coupled with additional energy efficiency technologies such as Solar, HVAC, Window Film, Green Roofing and other building envelope applications, a lighting retrofit in most cases will significantly reduce the capital investment payback period of the combined project.
